Our Mission

At CAHEC Management, Inc., our mission is to provide customized property management services that exceed the expectations of our owners, residents, and communities by empowering our team through exceptional coaching and training. Since 1985, we have worked to ensure residents in the Southeast have access to high-quality affordable housing by partnering with owners to create vibrant communities our residents can call home.

CAHEC Management, Inc. strives for the highest excellence as a company and with its employees. When CAHEC Management, Inc. manages a property, you also gain our vast wealth of knowledge which includes Certified Property Managers, Certified Public Accountants, Compliance Officers and numerous certifications with the National Association of Homebuilders, National Recreation and Parks Association, National Playground Safety Institute, Low Income Housing Tax Credit Training Certifications, the Community Affordable Housing Equity Corporation, the Green Credential for Property Management and more!

In response to the need for professional real estate management services at the highest standards of excellence, Boyd Management, Inc. (BMI) was formed in 1985. At inception, BMI managed less than twenty communities and grew to be the largest privately held property management firm of USDA, Rural Development 515 communities in the country managing more than 330 communities.  This growth is a result of outside owners and agencies acknowledging our abilities and desire to expand our organization. 

BMI was acquired by CAHEC on October 1, 2020, and is now CAHEC Management, Inc. (CMI). Our current portfolio primarily consists of affordable multi-family housing in rural areas in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama.  However, we also developed and managed conventional apartment communities, warehouses, business centers, single family subdivisions, shopping centers and a private resort development in the mountains of North Carolina in prior years.

Rich in History

Originally founded in 1985, our mission was to provide professional real estate management services at the highest level of excellence. At inception, we managed less than twenty communities and grew to be the largest privately held property management firm of USDA, Rural Development 515 communities in the country. Over time, we’ve expanded our areas of expertise to now include both urban and rural developments, LIHTC developments, HUD developments, and more. In 2020, we officially became CAHEC Management, Inc., and our portfolio now contains over 350 high-quality affordable housing communities throughout South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida.
